This crankshaft has a straight nose end with 2" diameter.

What is the difference between this one and the later type?
These early type crankshafts had hollow journals and a straight, narrow nose end. They worked well in Petrol/TVO Major's but had a tendency to break in the diesels.
In later tractors, the crankshaft was upgraded to be heavier duty. You can fit later crankshafts to early tractors but you will also need to change the crank gear to suit the later, wider nose (see 1110032 and 1110033). There is no availability of the early type crank gears.
